OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES:
1.) NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
Entrants must be 18 years of age or older. Employees of the Pittsburgh
Post-Gazette, their agencies, franchises, licensees, parent companies or
subsidiaries, and their immediate family members are not eligible.
2.) The object of Last Fan
Standing is to predict the winners of 10 high school football games to be
played each weekend. All requested information on the entry form must be
complete before registering your picks. We do not share personal information
and will only use contact info to notify winners.
3.) Failure to include any
required entry form information will result in disqualification.
4.) Contestants may only enter
once per week. Entering more than once per week will result in
disqualification.
5.). All entries must be received
by noon on Fridays before games.
6.) Each week during the contest,
the Post-Gazette will award one winner who predicts the greatest number of
results correctly with a guest expert spot on the Last Fan Standing picks page
and the opportunity to appear on our Varsity Video preview show hosted by Mike
White and Colin Dunlap. The preview show is taped every Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at
the Post-Gazette and runs the following Wednesday or Thursday on
post-gazette.com. It is the responsibility of the winner to be present at the
Post-Gazette for taping, though the winner is not obligated to attend. In case
of a tie, the contestant who predicts the correct winner of the designated tie
breaking game receives the prize. If still tied, the contestant who comes
closest to predicting the total points scored in the designated tie breaking
game receives the prize.
7.) By participating, entrants
agree to abide by and be bound by these official rules and decisions of the
judges.
8.) As a condition of entering
this contest, winner agrees to allow publication of his/her name, hometown,
picture and other publicity in the Post-Gazette for no additional compensation.
Winners will be notified by phone and by mail sometime during the weekend after
the featured games have been decided.
9.) Rules may be added or altered
by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette at its discretion, so long as the rule change is
published online, and is not implemented until the day following the change.
10.) Entrants acknowledge and
agree that they have entered the contest of their own free will, that the full
rules and details of the contest have been made available to them in writing
and they therefore understand and agree that the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, their
agents, affiliates, sponsors, representatives or employees have no liability
with respect to the contestants’ participation in the contest or winning a
prize and are not liable for any damages of their acceptance and use of the
prize.
11.) Void where prohibited by
law. All federal, state and local regulations apply.
